Remote Tax Accountant – Australia

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join a leading Australian accounting firm on a remote basis. The successful candidate will handle tax compliance and advisory services for a variety of entities, ensuring accurate and timely filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Income Tax Returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships.
• Manage Capital Gains Tax (CGT) calculations and reporting.
• Administer Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) obligations.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients.
• Ensure compliance with Division 7A and Division 293 provisions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Australian tax legislation and advise the team accordingly.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in Australian tax compliance.
• Proven track record preparing tax returns for all entity types.
• Strong knowledge of CGT, FBT, tax planning, Division 7A and Division 293.
