Remote Interior Designer & Space Planning Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a talented and highly organized Remote Interior Designer / Space Planning & Materials Specialist to create beautiful, functional residential spaces from concept to order‑ready details. The role combines creative design, precise space planning, and meticulous documentation to turn ideas into clear layouts, finish selections, product lists, and material schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Design residential rooms (bedrooms, bathrooms, bars, etc.) ensuring attractive, functional, and properly scaled layouts.
• Select furniture, tile, paint, lighting, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, hardware, rugs, décor and accessories.
• Translate existing design concepts into executable selections and detailed order sheets.
• Review room dimensions, floor plans, elevations, photos and product specifications.
• Prepare organized product lists with links, dimensions, finishes and pricing, as well as finish/material schedules.
• Estimate preliminary material quantities for tile, countertops, flooring, wallcovering, trim and paint.
• Identify missing measurements or items that require contractor, plumber or electrician verification before ordering.
• Communicate design constraints related to size, clearance, material, installation, budget or functionality.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing residential interiors, especially bedrooms, bathrooms and bar areas.
• Strong space‑planning abilities and solid understanding of clearance, vanity sizing, mirror and lighting placement, tile layouts and cabinetry basics.
• Excellent judgment of color, proportion, materials, lighting, texture and style coordination.
• High attention to detail for measurements, quantities, finishes and documentation.
• Clear communication and exceptional project‑organization skills.
• Background working directly with interior designers, builders, contractors, architects or e‑design clients.
• Experience creating mood boards, finish boards, FF&E schedules or client presentations.
• Familiarity sourcing products from retail websites, trade vendors and specialty suppliers.
