Remote Bookkeeper / Accountant (AR/AP) for Service Business

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our growing HVAC and plumbing service business on a remote basis. The position starts part‑time (20‑25 hrs/week) with a clear path to full‑time as the company expands.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Track job costing and report profitability per project.
• Process payroll and calculate weekly commissions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong confidence using QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with job costing in a service‑based or trade business.
• Proven ability to calculate commissions on a weekly cadence.
• Fluent English communication and ability to work independently.
