Remote Accountant – Retail & E‑commerce (QuickBooks)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to support a growing multi‑location retail and e‑commerce business. This full‑time remote position is based in the Philippines and works closely with the Senior Accountant to manage the end‑to‑end accounting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: code and enter vendor invoices, process payments on schedule, maintain organized vendor records, and reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger.
• Revenue Posting & Sales Reconciliation: post daily sales from store and online channels, reconcile POS totals, maintain deferred revenue schedules, and identify revenue‑recognition issues.
• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations: reconcile multiple bank and credit‑card accounts, investigate discrepancies, and prepare audit‑ready workpapers.
• Sales Tax & Compliance Support: prepare monthly sales and use‑tax returns using location‑level data, maintain filing calendars, and ensure timely submissions.
• Assist with payroll support, fixed‑asset tracking, expense coding, and month‑end close activities.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Strong numerical aptitude and commitment to accurate financial records.
• Experience in retail or e‑commerce accounting is a plus.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
