About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The successful candidate will manage financial records, prepare tax and payroll returns, and perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks.
- Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns.
- Process payroll and file payroll returns accurately and on time.
- Record transactions, reconcile accounts and generate financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial data, identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial information.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience as an accountant with strong focus on QuickBooks, tax and payroll.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
