Relationship Manager - Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking will generate new commercial loans, grow and maintain an existing loan portfolio, and cross‑sell the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on delivering professional account management while preserving asset quality and meeting growth and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire credit‑worthy commercial clients through market analysis and targeted outreach.
• Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls, site inspections, and analysis of business, financial capacity, management competence, collateral and profitability.
• Recommend and structure credit facilities in line with bank policies and risk guidelines.
• Manage and develop the existing loan portfolio by performing annual reviews and adjusting facilities to current client needs.
• Promote and sell additional bank products and services, increasing deposits, collateral business and overall market share.
• Monitor portfolio quality and work to maximize return on resources while maintaining asset quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or Commerce (post‑graduate degree preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in the banking sector or five years in a related industry.
• Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, bank service policies, and credit approval processes.
• Strong analytical abilities for financial and profitability analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
