Relationship Manager - Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking will generate new commercial loans, grow the existing loan portfolio and cross‑sell the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on professional account management to meet portfolio growth, profitability and asset‑quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls and on‑site inspections.
• Recommend credit facilities based on client business, financial capacity, management competence, collateral and profitability.
• Improve loan‑portfolio quality and maximize return on resources.
• Identify target markets, market bank products, and tailor financial packages for credit‑worthy clients.
• Increase market share, revenue and portfolio quality.
• Perform annual reviews of existing credit facilities to ensure suitability.
• Expand relationships with prime accounts by soliciting availments, deposits and collateral business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or Commerce (post‑graduate degree preferred).
• Two years of banking experience or five years in another industry.
• Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, bank service policies and procedures.
• Experience in account profitability analysis, financial analysis and credit‑approval preparation.
• Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.
• Strong marketing, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
