About the role
The Relationship Manager – Business Banking is responsible for generating new commercial loans, expanding the existing loan portfolio, and cross‑selling the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on delivering professional account management to achieve portfolio growth, profitability, and asset‑quality objectives while building lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls and on‑site inspections, to recommend appropriate credit facilities.
- Analyze clients' businesses, financial capacity, management competence, collateral, and profitability.
- Identify target markets, market bank products, and tailor financial packages to meet client needs.
- Increase market share and revenue while maintaining portfolio quality.
- Perform annual reviews of existing credit facilities to ensure continued suitability.
- Deepen relationships with prime accounts by promoting deposits, collateral, and additional banking services.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting, or Commerce; postgraduate degree (MBA, MA) preferred.
- Two years of banking experience or five years in another industry.
- Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, regulations, and bank service policies.
- Strong analytical abilities in account profitability, financial analysis, and credit approval preparation.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, marketing, and presentation skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.
