Regional Shore Operations Head

About the role

The Regional Shore Operations Head provides overall leadership for all shore‑based activities across the assigned region, ensuring terminals, container yards and transport functions operate safely, efficiently and in line with corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the regional operational strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
• Oversee integration of terminal, yard and transport operations to deliver seamless end‑to‑end service.
• Lead long‑term planning for capacity, infrastructure and resource requirements.
• Direct daily shore‑based operations, monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with standards.
• Establish operational controls, policies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Develop and coach the regional operations team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Represent the company with port authorities, regulators and internal partners.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in shore‑based terminal, yard and transport operations.
• Strong understanding of logistics, port coordination and supply‑chain processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance and handle service disruptions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
