Reconciliation Officer

About the role

The Reconciliation Officer works within the Monitoring and Reconciliation Department to ensure the accuracy and integrity of consumer loan financial records. By matching the loan management system with the general ledger, the role supports reliable financial reporting and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily GL accounts for abnormal balances, float items, and discrepancies between the loan system (SL) and GL.
• Investigate and resolve differences among loan system records, the general ledger, and other financial documents.
• Prepare schedules for Certification of Balances (COB) and other reporting purposes.
• Update status and disposition of outstanding balances in monthly and quarterly aging reports.
• Coordinate with relevant units and escalate unresolved long‑outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly remittances for life and non‑life insurance (e.g., CLI, MRI, fire, motor comprehensive) to third‑party agencies.
• Monitor the Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PGC) enrolled consumer loan portfolio, ensuring timely remittances and compliance with the MoA.
• Contribute to GL and loan system projects, including conversions, testing, and enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field; Accounting degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in loans accounting and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of bank operations, internal policies, and relevant accounting regulations.
• Familiarity with loan accounting systems, general ledger systems, and related software.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications for spreadsheet analysis.
