React Native Developer – Dayshift, Weekends Off, HMO

About the role

We are seeking an experienced React Native Developer to join a fast‑growing engineering team building native iOS and Android applications for a leading New Zealand marketplace. The position is fully remote, operating on a dayshift schedule with weekends off.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high‑quality cross‑platform mobile features using React Native and TypeScript.
• Integrate native iOS/Android capabilities and maintain custom native modules when required.
• Own the full app‑store deployment lifecycle, including builds, signing, releases, and store reviews.
• Consume and help architect robust REST and GraphQL APIs in collaboration with backend teams.
• Champion performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability through rigorous code reviews.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of professional experience building production‑ready React Native applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Xcode, Android Studio, and end‑to‑end app store deployment.
• Deep mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, modern state management, and mobile navigation patterns.
• Proven ability to integrate REST or GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, and third‑party SDKs.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and comfort working across time zones.
