Quantity Surveyor – Project Controls

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join its Project Solutions Team. You will support internal projects and external clients by delivering accurate cost estimates and managing project controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for project controls functions on projects and programmes.
• Interpret client requirements and perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and markings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by reviewing specification sheets.
• Identify and resolve gaps between BOQ, drawings, specifications and contract conditions.
• Coordinate with design teams to analyse architectural and service drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management or a related technical field.
• Progressive professional experience in project controls, preferably on international EPC/EPCM/PMC projects.
• Strong analytical ability to reconcile project costs and budgets.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting controls information to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook.
• Expert‑level Excel skills, including VBA, Power Query and Power BI (advantageous).
• Experience with Project Controls Systems and related software.
• Ability to produce and manage BOQ documentation.
