Quantity Surveyor – Construction Materials Management

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage and audit material requests across large‑scale construction projects ranging from $50 M to $300 M. The role works closely with the QS and site teams to ensure that all materials are procured, verified and used in line with project specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and audit material requests against estimated quantities and re‑hashed quantities provided by the QS and site team.
• Monitor daily material requests, record approved purchase orders and coordinate verification with the purchasing department.
• Ensure that delivered materials comply with standard details, specifications, approved plans and construction practices.
• Maintain records of procured materials, contracts awarded to subcontractors and consolidated price lists.
• Update weekly sub‑contractor billing data and prepare cost‑analysis draft reports for completed projects.
• Support the department head and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong organisational, detail‑oriented and professional attitude with high integrity.
• Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to safeguard critical documentation and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• General computer literacy.
