Quality Technician

About the role

RTX’s Collins Aerospace division is seeking a Quality Technician to support inspection and repair activities for aviation components. The role involves ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, customer specifications, and internal standards while contributing to continuous product improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions during inspections according to repair documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Perform visual inspections of incoming customer products and generate 8130‑3 inspection forms.
• Assist management in identifying corrective actions for malfunctions and provide detailed feedback to engineering.
• Analyze fault isolation and operational test data to verify conformance with final product specifications.
• Produce inspection records, reports, and documentation required by regulations and customers.
• Participate in EHS practices, reporting hazards and promoting a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and customer/manufacturer requirements.
• Understanding of company policies, mechanical and electro‑mechanical assembly, disassembly, repair, and overhaul processes.
• Minimum 18 months experience with disassembly, inspection, assembly, and testing of aviation components.
• Educational level equivalent to school or apprenticeship with appropriate certificates; CAAP license preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
