Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The Quality Assurance Officer will lead the inspection and testing of heavy equipment before delivery, ensuring that all units meet the company’s standards for performance, safety and customer satisfaction. This role collaborates closely with service, sales and yard teams to guarantee equipment readiness and proper documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI), Equipment Receiving Reports (ERR) and functional testing of incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Review and validate inspection reports prepared by QA associates and service engineers.
• Document defects, repairs and re‑conditioning actions accurately.
• Monitor warranty periods, initiate warranty claims and coordinate with suppliers.
• Implement preventive warm‑up schedules and anti‑rust procedures for parked equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment condition, defects and corrective actions.
• Supervise QA staff and yard personnel, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Liaise with Service and Sales departments regarding equipment readiness and customer turnover.
• Recommend continuous improvement actions for QA/QC processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and regular audits of storage yards and workshop facilities.
• Perform any other functions assigned by direct supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection or equipment testing within a heavy‑equipment or dealership environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• High integrity and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and technical reporting.
