QA Assistant – Food Production & Safety

About the role

The QA Assistant will support food production operations by conducting quality testing, monitoring critical control points, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards such as FSSC, HACCP, and GMP. The role is essential for maintaining product quality, safety, and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Perform swabbing, CCP monitoring, and in‑process inspections to verify food safety and sanitation.
• Identify, document, and report deviations; initiate product holds and support disposition of non‑conforming goods.
• Maintain QA records and documentation (GMP, HACCP, CAPA, NCRs, etc.).
• Support internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer inspections.
• Prepare samples, reports, and KPI updates for management review.
• Assist with training, inventory control, and safeguarding of QA‑held products.
• Perform other QA duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biology or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in food production, logistics, quality assurance, laboratory testing, or food safety compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
