Purchaser/Storekeeper

About the role

The Purchaser/Storekeeper will support Marriott’s food and beverage operations by managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping. This full‑time, onsite position requires close collaboration with vendors, kitchen staff, and management to maintain optimal stock levels and uphold food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain organized records of reports, invoices, and inventory logs.
• Post invoices using computer programs and reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports.
• Conduct inventory audits, monitor PAR levels, and complete requisition forms.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee return processes.
• Adhere to food safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in purchasing, storekeeping, or inventory management.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb and work in varied physical environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory and point‑of‑sale computer systems.
