Project Officer – Community Development

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Officer to support its community development initiatives in Cebu. The role focuses on engaging local communities, managing logistics for solar home systems, and ensuring project activities are delivered on time and with quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct community engagement activities such as consultations, meetings, trainings, workshops, and selection of user representatives.
• Support receipt, inventory, and safekeeping of project equipment and identify suitable storage facilities within communities.
• Coordinate transport, distribution, and installation of Solar Home Systems (SHS).
• Assist in the identification, assessment, design, and procurement of installation infrastructure.
• Support selection and onboarding of local entrepreneurs for the Users Assistance Center (UAC) and provide ongoing technical and administrative assistance.
• Build partnerships with barangay and municipal governments, NGOs, electric cooperatives, and other stakeholders.
• Identify scaling opportunities through needs assessments, project conceptualization, planning, and proposal development.
• Ensure project activities follow approved work plans, maintain quality, and coordinate effectively with partners.
• Prepare project proposals, reports, case studies, and communication materials.
• Perform finance and administrative tasks, including purchase requests, cash advance processing, and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in community engagement and stakeholder coordination.
• Background in logistics, procurement, and equipment management.
• Familiarity with finance and administrative processes for project implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local authorities, NGOs, and private partners.
