Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will lead civil engineering projects from initial planning through to successful close‑out. Reporting directly to senior management, the role involves translating organisational goals into actionable plans for internal teams, contractors, vendors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate management direction and project goals to all stakeholders, including internal staff and external partners.
• Set performance targets, monitor individual and team progress, and provide guidance to meet group objectives.
• Oversee comprehensive project cost management, including contingencies and unlisted components, ensuring compliance with the approved budget.
• Develop detailed execution plans, allocate resources, and manage schedules to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Identify strategic options when schedules slip, forecast risks, and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with all project stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain clear communication.
• Prepare and review project cost reports, ensuring alignment with budgetary approvals.
• Enforce strict safety protocols on site and ensure all personnel adhere to them.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (post‑graduate diploma or Master’s degree is an asset).
• Valid professional engineering license.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a project management capacity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Willingness to be deployed to any location as required by the organization.
