Project Legal Manager

About the role

The Project Legal Manager provides comprehensive legal support throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind power, and battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with Philippine laws and protecting the company's interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and risk assessments for project development, land acquisition, permitting, construction, and operation phases.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of project agreements such as EPC contracts, PPAs, land leases, easements, and financing documents.
• Support land acquisition by reviewing titles, resolving ownership disputes, and negotiating agreements with landowners and communities.
• Coordinate with permitting teams to secure and maintain necessary licenses and monitor regulatory changes.
• Assist construction teams with contract administration, claim management, and dispute resolution.
• Advise on commercial agreements, ensuring proper allocation of performance, pricing, and termination risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or J.D.); admission to the Philippine Bar preferred.
• 7–10 years of legal experience in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, EPC, or related sectors.
• Experience with project finance, M&A, and handling solar, wind, BESS, transmission or substation projects is highly preferred.
