Project Financial Controller – Engineering Consultancy

About the role

Black & White Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Financial Controller to join its global finance team. You will act as a strategic partner to project teams, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and supporting the delivery of high‑quality engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end financial oversight for global projects, from set‑up to closure.
• Maintain project data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ensuring governance and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Prepare and update budgets, forecasts, work plans and fee allocations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor revenue, costs and margins, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Oversee billing, client invoicing and sub‑consultant payments, managing accounts receivable and cash‑flow reporting.
• Produce Project Financial Status reports for senior management and support the creation of financial reporting packs.
• Contribute to ERP transformation initiatives and continuous improvement of D365 finance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project finance, financial control or project accounting.
• Experience in a shared‑services environment or engineering consultancy is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and support decision‑making.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial governance processes.
