Project Estimator – Commercial Flooring (Hybrid, Night Shift)

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a Project Estimator specialized in commercial, industrial and residential flooring. In this hybrid, night‑shift position you will be the backbone of project planning, delivering accurate cost estimates for epoxy systems, polished concrete and cove base installations.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage bid invitations and project pipelines using BuildingConnected.
• Perform digital take‑offs with Measure Square to calculate square and linear footage for flooring materials.
• Evaluate all project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, permits and overhead.
• Maintain a database of material costs, coverage rates and system components.
• Handle pre‑construction administration such as RFIs, client submittals, certificates of insurance and scheduling.
• Brief project managers and field teams during handovers to ensure alignment on scope, budget and timeline.
• Conduct post‑project cost variance analysis to improve estimating accuracy.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in commercial flooring.
• At least 3 years as a construction estimator focusing on epoxy flooring, resinous coatings, polished concrete and cove base detailing.
• Hands‑on experience with BuildingConnected and Measure Square.
• Strong knowledge of pre‑construction administration (RFIs, submittals, COIs).
• Advanced ability to read architectural drawings, finish schedules and structural specifications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
