Project BIM Technician – Structures

About the role

The Project BIM Technician for Structures will lead the preparation of drawings and 3D models, supporting technical and commercial standards across projects. The role works closely with senior BIM staff to ensure design quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural drawings and Revit models in line with project design briefs and WSP standards.
• Assist senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators in task analysis and problem solving.
• Check that all deliverables meet quality assurance procedures and SHEQ obligations.
• Liaise with project delivery teams to communicate design intent and mitigate delivery risks.
• Participate in training activities and share knowledge with colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in BIM modelling and detailing.
• Strong understanding of 3D CAD standards, construction methodology and multidisciplinary BIM processes.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and support team supervision.
