Project BIM Technician

About the role

WSP is looking for a Project BIM Technician to support the creation and coordination of structural drawings and models across a range of projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into construction documents while adhering to WSP standards and BIM execution plans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement drawings, reinforced concrete detailing, bar‑bending schedules and structural steelwork drawings.
• Conduct reinforcement bar quantity estimates and perform quality drawing checks.
• Maintain drawing sheet formats to meet project‑specific requirements and ensure compliance with WSP QA procedures.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, follow BIM content standards, and export files (DWF, etc.) for internal and external coordination.
• Support senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators, participate in training activities and contribute to risk mitigation efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Experience in structural modelling and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Proficiency with BIM360 and BIM360 Docs on a project basis.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly with clients and colleagues.
