Project Accountant

About the role

Lycopodium Philippines is seeking a Project Accountant to join its growing Project Services team in Manila. You will support the financial administration of large‑scale engineering and construction projects, ensuring accurate invoicing, payment processing, and project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Generate Progress Payment Certificates (PPC) and collate all supporting documentation for invoicing.
• Create and process Invoice Approval Forms (IAFs) and maintain related registers in line with company procedures.
• Perform matching, batching, vouching, and payment activities; prepare and transmit payment runs according to project‑specific guidelines.
• Assist with month‑end reporting, journal entries, and financial reconciliations as required.
• Coordinate with project personnel, clients, and vendors to resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Execute complete project close‑out, ensuring all reports, accounts, and files are handed over to the client on schedule.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline, or a suitable Project Controls qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial management, preferably within an EPCM environment for construction, mining, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of computerised accounting cost control systems and their application.
