Product Engineering Technician 1 (Manufacturing)

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Technician 1 for its Product Engineering (Manufacturing) team. The role executes product testing procedures to validate performance, quality and compliance with established standards, sets up and operates test equipment, records and analyzes results, identifies defects and communicates findings to engineering and product development teams. The position follows a crewing schedule in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first-level verification on yield issues (SETUP and production test) and failures found in QA sampling during final test, including hand testing of affected units and debugging of tester, software and hardware.
• Monitor and respond immediately to SETUP verification.
• Endorse fixtures (load board, KGU, actuator, etc.) to hardware control for verification, replacement and safekeeping.
• Use the DCD (Discrepancy Control Disposition) / IRAC system to hold and release non-conforming lots.
• Use the MIPS / OPCENTER system to declare equipment setup status.
• Document data logs and reports from tester verification activities.
• Prepare a status report each shift and an accomplishment report each week.
• Escalate major product-related setup issues to Shift Engineers and/or engineering supervisors.
• Take part in efficiency and productivity programs such as safety, quality, OEE improvement and 5S.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Engineering Head/Supervisor and uphold the company's environmental, health and safety commitments.

Required profile

• Graduate of Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related vocational course.
• Fresh graduate, or at least 2 years of work experience in an electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Computer literate, assertive, fast learner, adaptable team player, detail oriented and problem solver.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and interpretation of schematic diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of test equipment setup and operation.
