Procurement Specialist – Logistics

About the role

The Procurement Specialist – Logistics will design and execute procurement strategies for transportation, warehousing and distribution services, ensuring cost efficiency, service quality and continuity for a leading ice‑cream company operating in 76 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
• Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract management and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, operations and finance teams to capture logistics requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and maintain a database of potential logistics service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements to secure favorable terms and compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, regular reviews and SLA adherence.
• Build strong relationships with logistics partners and internal stakeholders.
• Analyse procurement data and market trends to drive cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, focusing on packing materials and logistics within the FMCG sector.
• Strong negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient with procurement software and tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
