Procurement Officer – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities for Mega Prime Foods, the company behind the Philippines’ #1 sardines brand. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier partnership, and ensuring ethical, cost‑effective, and high‑quality procurement that supports our operational and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Source materials, goods, and services in line with company standards, budgets, and sustainability goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to guarantee quality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve optimal value while maintaining strong relationships.
• Plan and execute procurement activities to meet operational timelines and avoid inventory shortages or excess.
• Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the Supply Chain team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
• Assess supplier risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, R&D, Production, and Quality teams to align procurement with budgeting, product innovation, and quality requirements.
• Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
