Preconstruction Estimator / Project Coordinator

About the role

Gulati Construction Company is seeking a motivated Preconstruction Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping residential and light‑commercial projects from the earliest stages, ensuring accurate cost projections and smooth coordination with subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and RFP documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing.
• Maintain bid tracking logs and follow up on outstanding bids.
• Assist in preparing proposals and contract documents.
• Support project management throughout the pre‑construction phase.

Required profile

• 3+ years of estimating or pre‑construction experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local pricing in Southern California.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
