Piping Engineer – Water Projects

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer to join its expanding team in the Philippines and support water‑related projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary taskforce to deliver plant and piping designs that meet client and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform plant and piping design activities using 3D integrated design systems such as AP3D and CADWorx3D.
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers, conducting self‑quality checks on 3D models and piping deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
• Assist in preparing proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• Experience in piping engineering/design within the chemical industry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (AP3D, CADWorx3D) and familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection.
• Knowledge of LEAN work practices and their application in project delivery.
• Experience with stress analysis (L1 SEP, L2 Simplified) and equipment layout, piping design, and pipe supports.
• Strong command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Good written and spoken English communication skills and understanding of US/EU piping design standards.
