Physician – BOSC Clinic (US Navy Program)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Physician to provide comprehensive medical care at the BOSC Clinic, supporting a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves delivering primary, acute, and preventive health services to a multi‑national workforce in an austere environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions for clinic patients.
• Perform physical examinations, review medical histories, and order appropriate laboratory and imaging diagnostics.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including health education and prevention strategies.
• Prescribe and manage medications and therapies in compliance with medical guidelines.
• Collaborate with Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and ancillary staff to ensure high‑quality care.
• Respond to medical emergencies, providing advanced life support, trauma stabilization, and critical care as needed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in clinical operations review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Valid, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• 3‑5 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care, emergency medicine, or clinic settings.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS is a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity and ability to travel internationally.
