OTC Trading Director – Crypto & FX Markets

About the role

The OTC Trading Director will lead and scale Coins' OTC trading business, overseeing execution, client coverage, pricing strategy, and risk management across crypto, FX, and stablecoin markets. The role drives revenue growth while maintaining robust risk controls and delivering a best‑in‑class client experience in a 24/7 trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of large block trades, liquidations and bespoke client orders across crypto, FX and stablecoin products.
• Optimize execution strategies to minimise slippage and maximise client satisfaction.
• Manage and grow relationships with institutional and high‑value OTC clients, tailoring pricing, spreads and liquidity access.
• Own OTC trading P&L, inventory exposure and hedging performance; design and enforce risk limits.
• Oversee pricing models, spread configuration and real‑time quote generation; manage liquidity routing across 30+ global venues.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to build pricing engines, risk engines, order‑management and settlement infrastructure.
• Drive automation and scalability of OTC workflows while leading and mentoring a high‑performing trading team.
• Define business strategy, market expansion opportunities and product roadmap in close collaboration with compliance, risk, finance and technology functions.

Required profile

• 7–12+ years of experience in OTC trading, FX trading, crypto markets, market making or sales trading.
• Proven track record executing large and complex OTC transactions and managing P&L, inventory risk and hedging strategies.
• Strong understanding of FX and crypto liquidity, pricing mechanics, spreads and settlement flows.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain institutional client relationships.
• Analytical and systems‑thinking mindset; comfortable working with trading tools and internal platforms.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams on trading infrastructure development.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and scale trading teams.
• High sense of ownership, urgency and ability to operate in a 24/7 environment.
