Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring safety, security and quality standards are consistently met. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role coordinates staff, resources and performance metrics to support DHL’s logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security standards, ensure staff have proper PPE, and promote near‑miss reporting.
• Support incident investigations and report DHL incidents via text and One‑Pager before shift end.
• Uphold warehouse quality standards, enforce 5S, and manage quality incidents and CAPA actions.
• Plan daily resources, conduct shift handovers, and update resource plans for subsequent shifts.
• Track individual and team performance (picking, sorting, dispatching, transporter productivity) and analyse trends to drive improvements.
• Prepare and send daily operation reports to the Operations Manager and customer.
• Conduct tactical reviews with coordinators and ensure performance reviews are completed for all employees.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead warehouse teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with experience in incident reporting and corrective action processes.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with safety leads, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Capability to analyse performance data and implement improvement actions.
