Operations Manager - Accounting, Controls and Analysis

About the role

The Operations Manager – Accounting, Controls and Analysis will lead the AP, purchase order and vendor master data functions, clean up existing backlogs and drive long‑term operational efficiency. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on problem solving across financial and technical processes.

Key responsibilities

• Build, coach and sustain a high‑performing team, handling performance management, succession planning and capability development.
• Ensure robust governance and control over third‑party reconciliations, GR/IR, direct debit and balance‑sheet accounts, with clear ownership and timely issue resolution.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the clean‑up of the current accounts payable backlog and streamline purchase order and vendor master data processes.
• Act as senior escalation point for people‑related and performance matters, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large finance operations teams, preferably in a global, multi‑site environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of driving performance culture.
• Analytical mindset capable of identifying process gaps and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, procurement and other stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience with Purchase Order systems.
• Vendor Master Data management expertise.
• Travel & Expense (T&E) process handling.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms.
