Operations and Maintenance Manager – Water Treatment Plant

About the role

The Operations and Maintenance Manager ensures the water treatment plant runs safely, reliably and efficiently while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements. This senior leader oversees the full O&M team, coordinates with stakeholders and drives continuous improvement across all plant functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire O&M team, fostering a safety‑first culture and continuous improvement mindset.
• Oversee process performance, power and chemical management, budgeting, cost control, health & safety compliance, risk management and asset reliability.
• Prepare and present regular operational and performance reports to senior management.
• Coordinate with SUEZ management, partners and end‑users through regular meetings, communicating plant status and promoting a positive company image.
• Administer all commercial aspects of the O&M contract, including billing, invoicing, payment follow‑up and contract compliance.
• Establish and monitor safety, risk assessment and quality system procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large O&M teams in an industrial or water‑treatment environment.
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements, safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and reporting.
