On‑Site Representative – Reefer Technician

About the role

The On‑Site Representative (Reefer Technician) ensures the smooth pick‑up and delivery of temperature‑controlled cargoes. You will coordinate with customers, operations teams and port personnel while maintaining the technical condition of containers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑trip inspections (PTI) of containers and perform on‑site maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Coordinate loading and unloading schedules with customers, warehouses and truckers to meet service level agreements.
• Verify product temperature, quantity and packaging quality during pick‑up and delivery.
• Prepare and collate all required shipping documents, permits, billing attachments and proof of delivery (POD).
• Serve as on‑board vessel escort and ensure compliance with depot rules and port regulations.
• Manage incidents of cargo damage or accidents, prepare incident reports and support claim processing.
• Monitor container positioning in the port, handle port‑related charges and ensure timely release of containers.
• Report time‑and‑motion data for all pick‑ups and deliveries to operations and documentation teams.
