Offshore Wind Cost Controller

About the role

LAUTEC is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join its Project Controls team for offshore wind projects. The role focuses on monitoring expenditures, supporting cost forecasting, and delivering accurate financial reporting to enable informed project decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project expenditures, tracking actual costs, commitments, and forecasts.
• Prepare and update monthly cost forecasts, including variance analysis and scenario planning.
• Export and analyse financial data from SAP and other systems to produce structured cost reports.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for project leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage SAP processes such as purchase requisitions, orders, accruals, goods receipts, and order closures.
• Track invoices, accruals, and pre‑payments to ensure alignment with month‑end reporting.
• Monitor resource costs, consultancy agreements, and service contracts against approved budgets.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, contracts, and project management to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Support alignment between cost and schedule data, working with planning teams as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation, financial records, and audit trails for governance.
• Provide ad‑hoc cost analysis and financial support to the Project Controls team.

Required profile

• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Degree (BSc/MSc) or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project cost control or cost engineering within large‑scale infrastructure, renewable energy, or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with project planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar enterprise financial system).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Primavera P6 or MS Project (optional but beneficial).
