Occupational Health Physician

About the role

The Occupational Health Physician leads the delivery of clinical and preventive health services for employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company health initiatives. This role provides medical assessments, case management, and emergency response within an onsite corporate clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and fitness‑for‑work evaluations for both work‑related and non‑work‑related conditions.
• Review and validate medical certificates, pre‑employment examinations, and APE results, issuing clearances or work restrictions as needed.
• Participate in incident investigations, regulatory compliance (DOLE OSH standards), and corporate wellness programs.
• Manage prolonged sick‑leave cases, coordinate care with accredited providers, and advise HR and senior management on health matters.
• Provide emergency medical response, stabilize incidents, coordinate ambulance transfers, and support pandemic and infectious‑disease management.
• Support RCG Health projects, clinical audits, and provide clinical assistance to the wellness nurse navigator.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a basic Occupational Medicine certification; advanced degree in occupational medicine is a plus.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as an occupational health physician, preferably in a corporate clinic or BPO environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site with rotational schedules and clinic duties.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, DOLE OSH standards, and labor/disability regulations.
• Proficiency in medical documentation, report writing, and case management with high attention to confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills for educating employees and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
