Night Shift Driver Manager

About the role

The Night Shift Driver Manager acts as the communication hub between planners, operations, and drivers, ensuring drivers stay compliant with Hours of Service (HOS) and meet delivery schedules. This role involves constant contact with drivers to resolve issues, adjust load sheets, and provide exceptional customer service during night operations.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with drivers, planners, supervisors, other departments, and customers via email, text, phone, and face‑to‑face.
• Review load sheets for completeness and accuracy, and calculate driver HOS to confirm schedule feasibility.
• Identify potential problems early, propose solutions, and notify relevant personnel of any changes.
• Coordinate driver services such as hotel accommodations and breakdown/repair information with fleet management and customers.
• Operate required software tools (e.g., Word, Samsara, Express Online, Electronic Funds Source, Truck Stop) and hardware (multi‑line phone system, computer, laptop, tablet).
• Issue Electronic Funds Source (EFS) payments and handle on‑call duties after hours and weekends when needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and elementary math (addition, multiplication).
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Preferred: familiarity with industry software such as Samsara, Express Online, EFS, Truck Stop, or similar platforms.
