National Material Quantity Surveyor - Cebu

About the role

The National Material Quantity Surveyor will accurately analyze construction plans and specifications to produce detailed material quantity takeoffs, primarily for flooring and related components. This position supports sales and project teams by delivering precise estimates on time and according to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and review construction plans and specifications to produce accurate material quantity takeoffs for flooring, trims, transitions and related components.
• Create detailed material quantity estimates for all design stages, from budgetary to construction documents.
• Draft and submit project‑specific Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify plan ambiguities.
• Identify potential cost‑saving opportunities and suggest material optimisations.
• Perform quality control by reviewing own work and participating in a two‑level review process with local and U.S. senior estimators.
• Maintain compliance with National Estimating Standards and company procedures, delivering estimates on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in material quantity surveying.
• 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, architecture or engineering, with a focus on material takeoffs.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking to assess plans and spot cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ability to read and interpret U.S.-based construction plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with imperial measurements.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with estimating software (training provided).
