Motorpool Service Technician / Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Motorpool Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, overhauling and repairing motor industrial vehicles, automobiles and power‑generating sets to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This position supports Aboitiz Foods' commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement across its fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on light and heavy vehicle engines, transmissions and brake systems.
• Inspect, service and repair hydraulic systems, under‑chassis components and other automotive systems.
• Maintain generator sets, ensuring they meet the approved maintenance plan.
• Log all maintenance activities, submit parts requirements to the Maintenance Planner and ensure parts availability.
• Respond to emergency repairs and night calls as needed.
• Implement housekeeping practices that comply with GMP, HACCP, Halal and ISO standards.

Required profile

• High school graduate with vocational/technical training in auto mechanics.
• Minimum three (3) years experience as a driver or auto mechanic.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely in a food‑processing environment.
• Understanding of food‑safety, Halal and quality management systems.
