Mid-Level DevOps Engineer (Full‑Time Independent Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a Mid‑Level DevOps Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will collaborate closely with full‑stack engineers and technical stakeholders to enhance system reliability, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production and development environments.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational and deployment processes.
• Implement and uphold infrastructure security best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and improve system performance.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix server administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security concepts, and system monitoring.
• Experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and REST APIs/JSON.
