Mechanic II – Plant Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanic II will ensure that all machinery and equipment in the plant operate efficiently and safely at all times. Working closely with the production crew, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives and responds promptly to operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of machines, checking belts, bolts, vibration, oil and grease levels.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and lubrication according to the CDM strategy.
• Execute breakdown repairs on any equipment or facility as required.
• Verify the accuracy of mechanical weighing scales and recalibrate when deviations are detected.
• Complete assigned CDM checklists and assist other departments with maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to company safety standards.
• Report unsafe conditions and contribute to safety programs promoted by the Safety Officer or Committee.
