Marine Logistics Operations Specialist

About the role

The Marine Logistics Operations Specialist will coordinate international shipments of marine spare parts and technical supplies, ensuring deliveries meet strict vessel port‑call windows. The role works remotely with freight forwarders, port agents, customs officials and other logistics partners to achieve on‑time performance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end international shipments of marine spare parts and technical supplies via air, sea, courier and road freight.
• Arrange and monitor time‑critical deliveries to vessels, ports, shipyards and other designated locations worldwide.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, port agents, customs representatives, warehouses, airlines and shipping lines to ensure accurate and on‑time delivery.
• Track shipments from collection through final delivery, provide status updates and maintain records in ERP/TMS.
• Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation, identify potential delays and escalate issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably with exposure to maritime shipments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for interaction with international customers and partners.
• Proven ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
