Maintenance Technician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at CBRE, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium‑sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on various building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of all building systems.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate information clearly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lb or more.
• Capability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Effective communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
