Machine Operator – Optical Polishing

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our optical manufacturing team. You will operate polishing machines that produce high‑precision lenses for a variety of advanced applications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up polishing machines, including loading lenses, pads, and polishing compounds.
• Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure, and cycle time according to production requirements.
• Inspect lenses for surface defects, scratches, power irregularities, or finishing issues.
• Use measuring instruments to verify lens specifications and perform in‑process quality checks.
• Record production output, machine performance, and quality results accurately.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and make minor machine adjustments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area to prevent contamination.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures and coordinate with QA and production supervisors on non‑conforming products.

Required profile

• College or vocational/technical education.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to work 100 % onsite in a production or clean‑room setting, including extended periods of manual, repetitive hand work and close visual focus.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends or holidays as production needs dictate.
