Litigation Lawyer

About the role

The Litigation Lawyer will represent Security Bank, its officers, and employees in legal actions filed for or against the bank. The role focuses on protecting the bank’s interests, achieving collections, preventing losses, and supporting overall profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and other legal documents for submission to the Litigation Head and filing with courts or government agencies.
• Provide legal opinions on queries and issues assigned by management.
• Represent the bank in court, administrative bodies, and meetings with government officials.
• Monitor cases handled by external counsel or collection agencies and ensure centralized tracking.
• Prepare status reports, memoranda, and case summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Supervise the Registration and Enforcement Unit in executing court orders such as arrests, attachments, and injunctions.
• Attend hearings, investigations, and conferences with regulatory bodies (e.g., Department of Labor, SEC).
• Negotiate settlements and restructuring options with borrowers and opposing counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Licensed lawyer with 1‑2 years of experience in banking, legal, or leasing/financing institutions.
• Strong knowledge of banking and corporate legal matters.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
