Linux Application Developer (Remote, Morning Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Application Developer to join our edge‑computing team on a permanent, work‑from‑home basis. The role focuses on developing, debugging and maintaining C++/C# applications for Jetson‑based edge devices and supporting the UK operations during the morning shift.

Key responsibilities

• Write and debug C++ and C# code for edge device systems.
• Identify, reproduce and fix bugs across C++, C#, Bash, Python, SQL and Puppet.
• Configure CloudWatch logging and monitoring for device telemetry.
• Develop and document system test procedures and requirement traceability.
• Act as final escalation point for complex technical incidents on edge devices.
• Debug hardware subsystems such as Wi‑Fi cards, LTE modems, GPS modules, cameras and radars.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using Linux syslogs, application logs, database queries and AWS CloudWatch.
• Remotely configure and maintain Jetson Orin‑based devices running Ubuntu/L4T.
• Collaborate with UK, Australian and Philippine teams, manage client communications and support pre‑sales activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation, release notes, risk assessments and training materials.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in systems engineering, edge computing or a similar role.
• Strong Linux systems background, including systemd, OS administration and Bash scripting.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting hardware such as Wi‑Fi, LTE, GPS, cameras and sensors.
• Experience with embedded Linux platforms (Nvidia Jetson preferred, Raspberry Pi acceptable).
• Proven ability to perform deep root‑cause analysis and communicate findings clearly.
