Licensed Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Medical City Iloilo is seeking a licensed, patient‑focused Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. The role ensures safe, accurate, and effective medication use while supporting clinical excellence and patient‑centered care throughout the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Review, dispense, and accurately prepare medications according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
• Verify prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient responses, report adverse drug reactions, and address medication errors.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
• Manage inventory, ensure proper storage, and keep accurate pharmaceutical records.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and medication‑safety programs.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license.
• Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred; fresh board passers are welcome.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and clinical pharmacy practice.
• Attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems.
• Experience using electronic medical records.
