Legal Senior Associate – Corporate & Energy Law

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Senior Associate to lead corporate legal matters, contract negotiations and regulatory compliance for Vena Energy’s operations in the Philippines. The role combines strategic advisory with hands‑on transactional support across a range of energy‑related agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and manage EPC, O&M, joint‑venture and debt‑financing contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Analyze complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and financial instruments, delivering clear legal advice to senior management.
• Develop and maintain standardized legal templates and documentation for consistent use across the organization.
• Provide day‑to‑day corporate legal counsel and strategic guidance on issues affecting Vena Energy’s operations.
• Assist in handling claims, disputes and investigations, conducting legal research to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with renewable‑energy sector regulations, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption laws, and other relevant Philippine statutes.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• Minimum five years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm or as in‑house corporate counsel.
• Proven track record handling complex commercial contracts, especially EPC, financing and power‑supply agreements.
• Experience in the renewable‑energy or broader energy sector is a strong advantage.
